1 Year has already passed!

I can’t believe it.  I think about almost a year and a half ago when they were born and they would fit in one hand.  They were just so SO tiny.  I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these sweet, and most of time oh so serious and seriously funny.  They have been so much fun to photograph and I will miss seeing them every three months!  I will write more about these precious little monkey’s after I return from the dentist with my middle child who had a collision with my knee and knocked her front teeth backwards.  For the love of drama.  I shall return shortly and I will continue with the story of the Wiist Family.   Until then, enjoy the sweetness that follows this line!

So Fresh From God

I had the pleasure of meeting M and S last weekend and their precious new baby Logan.  He was a big boy!  Big, yet so tiny and small at the same time.  L has a canine big brother named Simmy who is your typical big brother wanting all the attention and doing anything to get it.  Try as I might to make friends with Simmy, he was still a bit irked at me for being there to see Logan and not him.  I do think we left on a good note though.  I think we will be best buddies by the end of the year!  I very much enjoyed getting to know S and M and S’s mom.  We had a nice chat and I look forward to more over the next several months as we follow little Logan as he grows this year.  I know time will pass so quickly this year as it always does; so I hope that S and M will soak up every little thing, all the sweet little squeaks, and baby’s breath, the sweet little snuggles and all of the firsts that are soon to follow.  Enjoy the sneak peek M and S!

Oh Lollipop Lollipop, oh Lolli Lolli Pop!

That’s the song that comes to mind while I was editing this session.  Baby O is just irresistibly sweet and squishy and just a little piece of eye candy!  In fact, I may start to call her Lollipop, because she’s sweet, and perfectly beautiful, small and somewhat round like a little lollipop.  We had a wonderful first part of the session. She was happy and rolling around and just playing.  I could have snapped away all day.  But, I had to tear myself away and come back to reality that we still had more outfits to do and she was going to eventually peter out on me.  So, we changed her outfit into none other than a sweet little Matilda Jane outfit.  She is a trooper as she let me snap away all afternoon!  I’m not going to ramble as my kids are calling for my attention so for once I will just get on with the pictures!

Check out this look!

Sweet Babies and Autumn Colors

Posted on November 22, 2010

I had the honor of photographing the C family last weekend.  What a wonderful family and sweet sweet babies.  Unfortunately, little M wasn’t feeling up to par.  He was not so enthused to be taking pictures and would have rather been lying on the sofa watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Sweet baby H is just so very loveable and just delicious with eyes bluer that then sky.  Her eyes were a piercing and most fantastic blue, almost purple.  M and H’s parents were troopers and very patient as I was looking for the perfect shot.  I think we got some darn good shots considering M was not up to par and not up for my playing and silliness.  However, I couldn’t stop taking their pictures, M is so so very creamy and looks soft as a petal and like a porcelain doll.  It’s okay for me to say that for a few more years as he is only 2 years old, just a baby.  H is also like a porcelain doll.  She truly looks like one with her big round blue eyes and little rosebud mouth.  I can’t wait to one day get my camera back on these sweet babies!  C family, I hope you enjoy all of your pictures and I hope they are much more than what you thought they were going to be!  Thank you for choosing me to capture your family!

Look at this first picture- look at M’s eyes, you can see the love in his face he has for his baby sister, but doesn’t  yet know how to express it.  So sweet.

From Way Back When. . .

Posted on November 3, 2010

I had this session a few weeks ago, and I must say it was kind of surreal.  No, I don’t think that is the right word, it was just well, here is the story. . .

Way back when, a long time ago when I was just a baby and on up to elementary age I used to know this kid whose initials were JF.  I heard his name all the time.  I can’t say I have any specific memory other than always knowing them.  I believe when JF and I were babies and a little older, our family and his family went to the mountains and other things like that together.  I vaguely remember him being at our house, the first house I ever remember.  Of course, I could be delusional on this memory and just think that I remember.  After elementary school, I really don’t have any memories of JF and I don’t even know if he went to the same middle school.  I do know we went to the same high school, but I really don’t even remember seeing him high school.  Again, I could have blocked out that since I hated high school.  JF’s dad and my dad worked together at UPS for years.  I heard their name often when his wife, JF’s wife that is; contacted me for pictures.  I told my parents about this JF that he was in my memory bank somewhere and I had to ask, how did we know them and why is his name and a few straggling memories of him floating around in my head.  Come to find out, yes as I said before, our Dad’s worked together.  I know this post seems to be rambling, but I will get to the point.

It was just almost weird to me that I was taking pictures of his baby and his wife and them as a family.  I was almost thinking wait, this guy is all grown up.  OH yeah, so am I.  I am married and I do have three silly children.  But to see him and know this was JF from my childhood; Someone who I think I saw quite often and someone whose name I heard regularly.  But in my head he was still the sandy haired kid that I somewhat remember.  It really is a weird feeling to see someone who you haven’t seen in years and then to realize, that they grew up too; and yes, that I too in fact was grown up as well.  It was just a surreal feeling and there was some kind of comfort too, just knowing that I’d known him since we were babies.  I really can’t put into words the way that this session made me feel.  I feel like I am tripping all over my own words and thoughts, and that kind of sums up my jumbled up memories of JF when we were so very young.

This is just a really cute family.  This baby T is also, way cute!!  He was such a good baby all morning.  He was a trooper and rarely fussed, and he had no problem being put down.  I really enjoyed this session and getting to know JF’s sweet wife P, and almost meeting JF all over again.  I hope that they love these pictures of sweet baby T.  You can just see and feel the love in this family and it was just so very sweet.  This was a very refreshing session!  JF, it was great to see you again and meet your sweet family.  I can’t wait to see the new wee little baby when he arrives in late winter of 2011.

And now the pictures-
